Sika SikaCeram-690 Elite Grout is a high performance cementitious, wall \/ floor tile grout for use in joints from 1 mm to 10 mm in width.
\nEspecially designed for grouting fully porcelain, glass, ceramic and natural stones sensitive to discoloration.
\nSikaCeram-690 Elite Grout has increased colour consistency, very good flank adhesion and increased abrasion resistance.
\nFor indoor and outdoor use including pools.<\/p>\n

        APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS<\/strong><\/h4>\n

        EQUIPMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Mixing equipment<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Electric single paddle mixer (600 rpm) with spiral, helix, hoop, basket, impellor paddle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Application equipment<\/strong><\/p>\n

            \n
          • Grout spreader<\/li>\n
          • Squeegee<\/li>\n
          • Grouting float\/trowel.<\/li>\n
          • Sponge<\/li>\n
          • Soft cloth<\/li>\n
          • Grout finishing tool<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Do not mix grout by hand.<\/strong><\/p>\n

            SUBSTRATE QUALITY \/ PRE-TREATMENT<\/strong><\/h4>\n
              \n
            • Check joints are dry, clean, clear of excess adhesive, contaminants and tile joint spacers.<\/li>\n
            • Remove from joint before grout application.<\/li>\n
            • Avoid any ponding \/ standing water on the surface.<\/li>\n
            • Surface must not be damp to touch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

               <\/p>\n

              MIXING<\/strong><\/h4>\n

              IMPORTANT<\/strong>
              \nAvoid over-mixing to minimise air entrainment.<\/p>\n

              IMPORTANT<\/strong>
              \nDo not add additional water into the mixed product during or after mixing.<\/p>\n

              IMPORTANT<\/strong>
              \nDo not exceed the recommended amount of water in the mix. The mix must never be fluid.<\/p>\n

              1. Pour the recommended amount of clean cold water into a clean mixing container.<\/p>\n

              2. Gradually add powder to the water while mixing.<\/p>\n

              3. Mix thoroughly until a uniformly coloured, smooth mix is achieved.<\/p>\n

              4. Do not mix for 2 – 3 minutes to allow mixed product to mature.<\/p>\n

              5. Remix for ~30 seconds<\/p>\n

               <\/p>\n

              APPLICATION<\/strong><\/h4>\n

              1. Apply Sika Cream\u00ae-690 Elite Grout using a grout spreader, squeegee or grouting float\/trowel.<\/p>\n

              2. Completely fill and compact the joints uniformly.<\/p>\n

              3. If required, finish grout with a grout finishing tool while grout is wet.<\/p>\n

              4. Using the same spreader\/ float, remove excess grout from the tile surfaces, moving the tool diagonally across the joints.<\/p>\n

              5. When the grout is touch dry (15 – 45 minutes depending on the absorbency of the tile).
              \nUse a damp sponge or sponge float to clean the tile surfaces. Clean sponge regularly with clean water.<\/p>\n

              6. When grout has set hard enough in the joint (finger- nail hard). Polish the tile surfaces by wiping with a clean, soft dry cloth.<\/p>\n

              CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT<\/strong><\/h4>\n

              When finished using SikaCeram-690 Elite Grout, clean all tools and application equipment with water after use.
